Last night we had this clean Nissan 240sx in for a dyno tune and our tuner Steve worked his magic once again. As far as the car goes, it had a RB25 with a GT35R pushing about 9.5 lbs of boost. The car made 362whp on the dyno and it makes for a fun RWD car.
Here at PSI PROformance, we offer a variety of services including replacing blown turbos. When Chris’s Civic Si came in the shop, he wanted a smaller turbo so he could get a better powerband through the RPMs. We replaced his blown turbo with a smaller Precision SC5252E, and gave him a quality tune from Steve. After tuning, Chris was able to make more power than before with this smaller turbo and less boost, which is quite impressive. His Civic Si made 301whp and 250tq on 9.5 lbs of boost.
The other day we had Evan’s Nissan 240sx in for a dyno tune. This Nissan 240sx was rocking a stock S15 SR20DET engine with some bolt-ons. Those bolt-ons included a front mount intercooler, 3″ Exhaust, 740cc Injectors, Walbro Fuel Pump, and an Apexi Power FC. The engine had stock cams and a stock turbo but was still able to make 310whp and 348tq, which is pretty impressive. Evan’s car is one of the nicest 240sx’s we’ve seen and now it makes a good amount of power with our tune. Here are the pictures from the dyno day, enjoy!
Today at the shop we had this Subaru WRX on the dyno for a tune. This Subaru WRX looked stock but was far from it with all of it’s modifications. These modifications included a Blouch 16G Turbo, 650cc Injectors, Perrin Up Pipe, Agency Power Downpipe, AEM Intake, HKS Catback Exhaust, and a Hallman Boost Controller. With these mods the car put down 307whp and 284tq, making a fun and awesome daily to whip around town. Yesterday at the shop we had this stock looking Scion TC roll onto the dyno rollers, but it was far from stock. The moment you popped the hood, there was a nice Turbonetics Turbo Kit staring you in the face. The only hint you get that this car is turboed is from the sound of the bov and silver front mount intercooler hiding behind the front bumper grill. With only 7 psi pushing through the turbo, it was still able to make 246 whp and 218 tq. Some more boost and this car would easily make over 300whp, making it a fun daily driver to whip around town!
Today at PSI PROformance we had this Subaru WRX STI Hatch in for a dyno tune. It appeared pretty much stock on the outside, but it had plenty of work under the hood to push some power. Some of these modifications include a FP Red turbo, Front Mount intercooler, Full Race Equal Length Manifold, and Wiseco Pistons and Eagle Rods. With these mods the car was able to make 429 whp and 400 tq on about 23 pounds of boost. Here are the photos and video from the dyno tune. Enjoy!
Yesterday at the shop we had this Mitsubishi Eclipse come into the shop for a dyno tune. The car was looking really clean with it’s sparkling green paint and fresh wheels. After a few pulls on the dyno, we all knew this car had the potential to make some good power. With some simple mods such as a bolt-on 50 trim turbo, and Magnus Manifold it was able to make 409whp and 390tq on 24-25 pounds of boost. With some cams this car could easily make 450-500 horsepower.
Today we had one Mazda MS3 in for a tune that lived up to Mazda’s slogan of “Zoom Zoom”. From the start you could tell this car meant business with its growl from Cobb bolt-ons including an intake and exhaust. This MS3 was also sporting a front mount intercooler and a TB30r Turbo, but besides that the car was mainly stock. Even with it’s mainly stock motor, this Mazda was able to put down 374whp and 347tq, which is quite impressive. We look forward to even more power and updates from this car in the future.
Today at PSI PROFORMANCE we had this Dodge SRT-4 in for a dyno tune. This car was fairly stock except for an AEM intake. After the tune, the car was able to put down 296 whp and 329 tq on 18 pounds of boost on a stock turbo. Just imagine how much power it would make if it had a bigger turbo!
