Procharged Coyote Build

We’ve done Mustangs with Prochargers before, but this one is a little different. The owner brought us the car with the Procharger already installed and wanted to do a little twist on it. He wanted an smaller diameter pulley for more boost, but a waste gate on the intercooler piping to regulate boost pressure, and allow for a better torque and turning a procharger into a TORQUE MONSTER.   With this kind of setup he will be able to run different amounts of boost up to the max psi that the pulley produces.

dsc_0233dsc_0239dsc_0228Placement of the red Tial blow off valve and wastegate was definitely important. From the outside others had to know that this Mustang was something special. We decided to mount them on each side of the intercooler so that they’d show in the lower part of the front bumper. Their red color definitely makes their presence known.

dsc_0555The small diameter pulley can produce about 20 psi of boost, but the wastegate will be able to regulate it. The Tial  BOV is located under the MAF on the left side of intercooler,  which Would cause distorted readings.  To solve this, we relocated the MAF to the cold-side intercooler pipe. we also added a PMAS Hpx  Frequency Maf to allow the proper scaling for this setup  This smoothed out readings and allowed us to get accurate data while tuning.

dsc_0576While we were under the hood, we upgraded the crank sprocket and oil pump gear as preventative maintenance, since they are known to fail. Once all of the fabrication was done, it was pulled onto our Dynojet for some tuning.

dsc_0637editdsc_0679editAfter some work on the Dyno this thing laid down an Impressive 702whp and 575wtq at 13 pounds of boost. The tune was Done through Hp Tuners.  The blue lines are from the previous tune with the procharger before the smaller pulley and other modifications we did this time around. It’s definitely a substantial increase in power

We de-turboed a Sentra. Yes, back to stock it goes to be sold.

A Genesis Coupe 2.0T came in with a cracked exhaust and we not only repaired it but added reinforcements to prevent future damage!

One of our favorite cars came through for a resonator install. We originally fabbed up the intake, air box, and downpipe for this worked Mazdaspeed Protege.

The fabrication shop has been very busy with multiple projects.

We just got rid of hundreds of spark plugs that we have removed from customers in the past year alone! A fresh set of plugs will help you get the most out of your tune and we highly recommend a fresh set be installed beforehand, or we can take care of that for it.

A Mazdaspeed Protege received a trio of gauges, of particular importance an AEM UEGO wideband gauge (including O2 sensor install on downpipe).

Does your Subaru Impreza sound like bees? We turned down the rasp with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator installation on the customers catback. Loudness retained, buzz banished.

We also had a Nissan S14 come in for a wastegate, custom made dump tube, and oil pan gasket replacement.

FAB: James’ DC Integra

James brought his GS-R by for some exhaust touch up work. Now that it’s daily driven, the straight pipe had to go. Fireballs are fun, but going deaf is not! We installed a Vibrant race metal core catalytic converter to both help turn down the angry bees as well as please the law.  Added benefits over a traditional ceramic cat include better resistance to vibrations and up to 40% more flow than OEM.
